A rip roaring Zip Line win!
Cratus were delighted to be a part of the project team that helped Zip World London secure temporary planning permission for the biggest and fastest urban zip line in the world on Tuesday 18th July.
The 225-metre zip wire at Archbishop’s Park, just behind the South Bank, will give ‘flyers’ climb to a height of 35 metres – more than 9 double decker buses – and then fly across the Park.
Riders will reach speeds approaching 50kph — roughly the same as a downhill race skier — and it will take little more than 30 seconds to complete the descent, which passes between poplar trees and will provide spectacular views of the Thames, Big Ben, the Shard and the London Eye.
Whilst under PD rights the event could run until the end of July, this success in Lambeth ensures that the event can run throughout the summer, finishing at the end of September.
